Morrisons are offering 10% discount for teachers until around Christmas

Teachers- take your school ID pass to the check out to get a 10% discount off your grocery bill during November and December.

I agree entirely Tanya. Speaking as a retired teacher I would not want to accept the discount. It should be offered to the really needy. I am sure present teachers and those retired like myself would feel the same way. They could of course offer to do the shopping for a needy neighbour and use the discount for that purpose only. Trouble there though is they get aggressive comments  from other shoppers who see the ID.

They could be more creative, Why don't they offer a deal to teachers that they can pick 10% of the value of their shopping in goods, as long as it's put put into the food bank?This would help those really in need and alleviate some of the food poverty that the children in their schools suffer with.

It's ridiculous to give a discount to two sectors who have had work and been paid throughout lockdown. They should be giving discount to those on universal credit.

I must admit, it's a bit tricky when you start offering Discounts to a select few. Just where does it stop, and how do you keep it fair? There's alway one or more worthy groups who "should" have been included but are left out.

How about offering all the private sector workers who are losing their livelihoods a discount.
