Market W3 - new Saturday market for Acton

Can I just say what a brilliant addition to Acton this is.  Apologies if I've missed another thread on this,  but I couldnt see one, which was quite surprising tbh.  It's certainly injected a new lease of life into The Mount each Saturday.  I may be biased as one of the stalls, but as an Acton resident for over 15 years, it is exactly what has been needed and is long overdue.  Great food, some background music and a superb variety of vendors.  Long may it continue.  Well done Kal for organising and rallying everyone into action!

Personally, I am more gutted about the 25,177 new cases and 492 deaths announced just yesterday.  The closure of the market is unfortunate, but, hey, I am sure Boris has everything under control.

I am gutted that the lockdown has had to return  . Just as the lovely new market had set up on the Mount. Hopefully Boris will have given the all clear to unlock us on December 2nd. and we can look forward to enjoying a Christmas Market .

Hi, the traditional market is still there Wed, Thurs & Fri as far as I'm aware, so no, they've not been booted out :-)

I'm not in Acton on Saturdays so haven't been able to get there. Looks good from photos though. My only question is has the new market completely replaced the old one or does it run alongside?  The old market catered to a wide section of Acton and it'll be sad if the old stalls have been booted out to make way for the new one. The old market was popular and I know a lot of people who found the stalls there very useful.  I hope there's a mix of old and new.

Depends what you're after but it is a completely different group of sellers on a Saturday - quality vintage clothing, artwork, great food stalls, all sorts really.

How is it any better, or different, from the previous market/s?A genuine question because I will schlepp down there if there's new and different offerings.
