Why is taking the council so long to let us know

Thats great Jon Thank you. In these COVID - 19 days we are just putting a survey together to get peoples' views. We think we can organise socially distant seating as we have no seating at all. We think we can organise table service as bar only service isnt allowed just now. We have a lot to discuss with Officers who are always supportive. If we can make this work we will but its a difficult time. Your thoughts are very welcome as we want to serve the widest audience in Acton. Thank you again for all the local enthusiasm. Its wonderful.

Thank you all. We sit down with Officer next week to plot the opening of the cinema as soon as possible. What would be useful would be your suggestions on how to persuade folk to attend a film or arts event in a time of COVID. This morning an enthusiast suggested showing NT Live films from stock to suitably distanced audiences and a ready supply of ice cream. She would happily attend in such circumstances. What about you?

I have patiently waited for over 35 years for Acton to become a destination, the "New Islington", so to speak.And whether or not you believe that being a "New Islington" is good, bad or indifferent, this Arts Project/Cinema is a massive fillip for Acton and we are indebted to those who have tirelessly exerted such huge time & effort, and probably some personal money. We Salute you!!!!  👍(I'm not one of them btw, I'm a Hanger On, so not blowing my own trumpet 😁)

That was a good guess. Acton Arts Project announced today that they have just received council approval.
