Missed collection cannot be reported online !

I wanted to report a missed food bin collection. Should have been collect Thursday today is Friday 3pm Apparently it has to be reported by 1pm on the following day  So they will no longer collect at the weekend as they used to do, but more annoyingly it cant be reported as missed at all,  because the webpage refuses any entry. I suppose its one way of massaging the figures !

Just so everyone can check the list.I have to say I have seen many bins with the lids open and unflattened boxes sticking out.  That is a lot of wasted space and so often the packaging which is not recyclable in the kerbside collection is still in them.  Cans - both steel and aluminium and plastic bottles can also be flattened to reduce space.  A good MRF (Materials Recycling Facility) should be able to sort all these.

Pedestrians and people with wheelchairs and buggies do not want them on the pavement. We want as much space on the pavements as possible for social distancing.  Your bins need to be clearly visible and NOT on the pavement. We had the same issue this Wednesday with the recycling bin. We have 2 bins and 1 was collected and the other was left behind. When I eventually got through to the human, I was told there is a new process and the collecting crew makes reports as they collect so there is an evidence in case us minions call and god helps us complain. I was told, if the bin/s are not out on the payment, it will not be collected. Case closed, gotta wait 3 weeks now.Utterly fed up.

I wonder if they still have the system set up so that you can only report your own missed collection and not that of the whole street.Yes, it is really irritating if you don't realise that there is only the small window in which to complain about a missed collection.  It can so easily happen when you are not around all the time and so can't notice - after all so much of the time you are waiting not knowing whether or not they will be collecting.
