People leaving there rubbish on south acton rec

Nappies food Why people are so dirty I mean they the council have gave new bins and benches new trees and then people come never take there rubbish home disgusting

The councils probably had more money to spend on cleaning the streets then.  There have been a lot of cuts in council spending.  We never dropped litter in the 70s and 80s.  I can't remember when we had our first take away other than fish and chips.  We didn't eat out unless it was a special occasion.

The streets of London were way worse in  the 70s and 80s. Its so noticeable now because it isn't the norm and we are all using our parks all week now and the weather has been so good. |More people more likelihood of selfishness. Not excusing it but lets not pretend the past was better !

Its a different world now. My generation did not have take away. People have a can of wine say while waiting for a bus, the bus comes. No drinks allowed on the bus so can dropped. Buy a burger eat in park packet on seat. How about the government taking resposibilty and cleaning up. Also has anyone noticed all the nitrous oxide cannisters everywhere. How about a £2 tax on these to go towards cleaning up?

Apparently they do teach it in schools according to a Radio 5 phone-in.  It was said that it is the adults who are leaving the rubbish - not the children who are more concerned about the wildlife and the environment.  Is this true?Some years ago when I investigated the curriculum materials waste and recycling appeared at least three times on it.  On a discussion at home we discovered that as children we picknicked with our parents on beaches and in parks but there was never any alcohol and we took all our waste home..Roll on a Deposit Return Scheme - it is high time that packaging had a bigger price on it.  Scotland is ahead of the rest of the UK of course.  Take a look at:https://www.zerowastescotland.org.uk/

I wonder why? I was always taught to leave a place as I found it and take any litter home. Maybe that common sense needs to be taught in schools?

When Bournmouth recently declared a major incident on the beach a 41 tons of litter was cleared and the end of the weekend. Litter is the norm now.
