Fire Evacuation policy

I'm the head of Sir Alexander Road Residents Association and need some advise. I've tired on more than one occasion to obtain a copy of the Fire Evacuation policy from  Jfm Block And Estate Management who are part of Sir Alexander Road Management Ltd overseeing Sir Alexander Road, and Councillor Katherine Crawford is aware of the situation by Cc of email and London Fire Brigade are aware too. However it appears as if we don't have a current one in place. Any suggestions of where to raise this safeguarding concern next as enquiries are not getting anywhere.Thanks.

Hi Abdul,Your Landlords are responsible for the fire safety and safety in general of the tenants in the properties for which they are responsible,there should be notices indicationthe action to be taken in case of Fire,and tenents made fully aware of this action,As an Ex Senior Fire Safety Officer I have reams of Information on this and other subjects,so if you find I can help,contact me on, john.stolworthy@btinternet.com.John.

While following the steps suggested in the Lease Advice website, telling JFM that you're seeking an enforcement order under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, might produce the information you're asking for. Evacuation instructions should be displayed in the communal areas, but you really need to see the full Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) for your building.

Many thanks to everyone who has responded. Grenfell does come to mind, and its the reason to residents group was set-up as "management" were not responding and we informed the fire Brigade of the change of access to the blocks.  Will try raising this with some of the people mentioned. Would there be a specific dept with Ealing Council that may be helpful?

I have never understood when there are "Official" instructions to stay in your apartment whilst there is a fire in your building.I'm sure there are valid reasons and it may be best, but, personally, I'd get out FAST, and stay out.

I have contacted someone I know from a London Tenants Group, but you could contact https://londontenants.org/ or https://londonrentersunion.org/ both groups will have had experience in this area.
