Postal deliveries

I know Royal Mail must be suffering from staff sickness due to Covid-19, but I was wondering if anyone had had any post recently?We have had nothing since last Thursday, even though I am expecting something sent 1st class on Thursday.We saw posties delivering on Saturday when we were out for our exercise, but nothing here in Highlands Avenue.

We have had almost 2 weeks without any post, a trickle in the last couple of days on St Dunstans avenue.

My parents who live in North Devon think there is an issue with deliveries coming from London (because there are a high number of cases of Coronavirus in the London area) and they are waiting for some items of mail posted last week that have not shown up yet.

Actually our post just got delivered and glad to say our long serving postman was there.

We haven't received any mail since Friday 28th (Julian Avenue). I appreciate that perhaps our postman is off sick but surely if that happens, they could reduce the frequency in other areas eg the adjacent postman could do the two areas every other day. I would be satisfied with an every 3-4 days service. Anyway I do hope our regular postman, who has done an excellent job, for many years is OK.

Our deliveries continue but the timing has changed (morning instead of mid afternoon).Love the idea of sticking a card on the door; managed to get out and thank the bin men yesterday (noisy and slow moving) but the postie moves too fast!

I tried to call Acton Delivery Office, but can only find a Royal Mail Customer Services number which is only dealing with emergency inquiries, and a redelivery number.Seems to be one area of Acton with no post. Would be sensible if there is only a limited number of posties to switch their routes on alternate days so we all get our post. Surely that is possible?

We are getting post now but had an issue in January with a new postie who didn't know about us. We went to the sorting office and found a big pile - we are 11 flats - but that's not an option now. Maybe try giving them a ring?
