I wrote to the council about these containers and got this reply. Are they saying that it doesn't matter that the plans say, as long as the building looks the same at the end? Seems a bit strange to me. Anyway, at least they'll look nicer than they do at present. "Following you complaint I had contact with the planning agent who has submitted a number of planning applications for the site. He has advised that the development is a modular scheme and that along with a breathable membrane and insulation panels, a brick façade will be added, which will accord with the approved plans.Please find attached some photographs of a similar scheme that was completed in London, which shows the initial pod construction stage and the final completed look. Whilst the development may not accord with the plans at present in terms of visual appearance, it is in the early stages of construction and will gradually change as the pod construction is complete."
