acton hand sanitiser  Pai Skincare

Greetings everyone can someone give me more information about the South Acton  company  Pai Skincare  which I read is manufacturing and sanitiser.  This is great,  but apparently it's costing £9 for 75ml.... be aware the normal cost would be a 1 pound or 2 pounds at the most. can anyone explain what's going on here?rowan

Hi Rowan, the skincare company Pai has been around for quite some years now (I've used the range).I read an article a week or so ago that they would be providing hand sanitiser for free to schools and local businesses, free with any order over £29, or on its own at £9, and is called 'Acton Spirit'.I've just found the article I read:https://www.standard.co.uk/beauty/beauty-brands-making-hand-sanitiser-pai-ormonde-jayne-monta-monta-a4390966.htmlIt's currently sold out on their website, but states they are making a second batch.

Mass production of something is bound to be cheaper.Supermarkets can push prices up or down.

Not in Acton but Arch Hardware Store, King Street Hammersmith were selling  75ml for £9.99  - absolute joke.  I will avoid all these profiteering shop owners.

I've no knowledge of this specific company. However, I am becoming increasingly aware of blatant profiteering from the current Covid-19 situation. My local convenience store, Acton Local, 43-49 Gunnersbury Lane, W3, is selling budget brand toilet roll at £12 for 12 - a mark up of 350% on the same product online. I shall never step over their threshold again, and I know of others who feel the same.
