CoronaVirus support in your street

Some people will undoubtedly have to self-isolate for 7 or 14 days. People in your street may not know each other or have anyone to bring them fresh food or medications. (they can be left at the door to prevent infection)Some roads, including Goldsmith Avenue and Cumberland Road, are setting up WhatsApp groups to share support and offer or ask for help.Many of the isolated might not be very techy, so phones seems a good idea. And probably dropping a few leaflets through doors might find the more isolated.Local communities could be really important to many of us in the next few months.

My road has had a Whatsapp group for some months and we are all talking about mutual support. People need to make preparations, though, and not rely on others. Don't wait until you're told to isolate to put a few bits in the freezer/larder so you can feed yourself for a fortnight.
