Turning houses into flats so many in acton

Looked the local planning on Ealing web page I was very surprised the amount of house's been turned into flatsEven above shops Crazy

How come friends living in other countries manage to change their homes so that they can accommodate their married children giving them privacy and making their own space smaller?  People are trying to make as much money as they can out of their land.  From the developers' point of view the more units they have the more money they can make.  Land is expensive and planning is expensive.And then you get this:https://www.wired.co.uk/article/airbnb-scam-londonNow tell me that the recycling and waste is being dealt with legally in this sort of situation.

There used to be many problems with the lack of space being allocated in for bins for houses split into flats with the waste just being dumped on the pavement.  This did improve once the Council made sure that space was allocated for this.  This space does need to be retained.However there is a shortage of family homes...

You should see what they have done to my W3 area.. Hillcrest Road,  Whitehall Gardens, Willcott Road and King Edward Gardens. !! Every family house up for sale over the past 4 years has been bought by these wretched property developers and converted into numerous flats Even digging underneath the basement cellars  to make another flat . Several are still not attracting any buyers. In Willcott Road the only light the lower flats gets is from a glass roof in their  front gardens . You can see the owners/renters eating their meals when you pass by !!

Acton is already "Flat Land", and it's getting worse each day.Crime will undoubtedly continue to increase as a result of the influx of ever more renting itinerants of the more undesirable persuasion.I am very aware a proportion of flats are Owner Occupied who are decent people, as are many Renters.I now await The PC Mob to put me "right" on my incorrect grasp of the subject matter.  🤣

The tiny house next to me is being enlarged and turned into 2 tiny flats. The cost must be immense....but then look at what a tiny flat costs.The council approves this as they will then get more tax but I think there are a lot of people who want a house and not a flat.I don't think any of this flat-building policy is going to solve the housing shortage.  Most of them are empty as nobody, apart from wealthy foreigners, can afford them.
