CPZ K/K1 - permit reminder for long time residents

If you have lived in CPZ Zones K or K1 since these zones started and you have a vehicle on the street - then it might well be time for you to renew your parking permit because the scheme started in February many years ago.I've done mine (not had a reminder email from the council yet but it is a bit early).Starting point is athttps://www.ealing.gov.uk/info/201198/residents_permits/2028/renew_your_residents_parking_permit/1

Got a nasty surprise that my parking renewal doubled in price because I have an older car and hence emissions and yet for the past 20 years this hasn’t applied! Just paid £104 to renew with no warning notice of this etc so if you’re not in a position to have a newer car you get penalised too :(

We have just got rid of our second car. So I emailed Ealing to tell them, so that I dont have to pay a £50 second car surcharge when I review.I emailed a fortnight ago. Not a peep so far.But I cant renew online for the correct amount.So what next? (and thanks for posting - I'd quite forgotten I had even done it)

Yes, the system is a right mess up. I realised that I hadn’t renewed our residents permit for a while and hadn’t received any reminders. Now I’ve just managed to gain a new ‘permit’ with PayByPhone so visitors can park in our zone. I had to call their help line to get this service going. But all the while absolutely no information from Ealing Council about this. They just expect residents to work it out.
