Developer Offering Funding to Acton Community Groups

This is a joke! and pure hypocracyAt the Homebase site Barratts have got away with 364 units, no social housing and avery small community facility to be used by local community groups used no more than twice a week, Monday to Friday excluding Public Holidays for four hours at time.That this minimal use was agreed by Ealing Planning is a disgrace.And now they are offering a paltry £1,000, this won't even replace the cherry tree arcade they removed.https://www.hl.co.uk/…/barratt-developments-…/director-deals

Surely although they could (but no doubt won't) replace the cherry tree arcade with trees of the same size or of a current size to give shade they are going to replace them - and not out of the £1,000.

Indeed. A company making £900 million a year offering £1,000 a month to community groups is laughable.
