Acton High Street - where is Christmas

Really disappointed that yet again we have drawn short straw on Christmas lights.  Went to Ealing the other day ; fantastic display.  Is it a Council issue or local shopkeepers? Acton has nice new shopping centre (let's fill it) and Churchfield Road is up and coming. Let's raise the bar please for the High Street.  very drab.

Even the Christmas decorations in the Oaks Shopping Centre look half halted. I went to Lidl yesterday and it was quite busy. I really hope more stores will open up in there next year.I think some of the Apartments have been sold

The Oaks was grim and dead the only time I have walked through. Only four shops at all and they seemed unattended and unfrequented.Has anyone moved into the upper stories yet? that looks vacant too.

Usual story, Acton is Cinderella again!  Ealing Central really make an effort.The Oaks is still very drab apart from a few decorations hanging from the ceiling.  Couldn't they at least afford a Christmas Tree???

They've had the same blue decorations around the land posts for many years. No change. Maybe waiting for donations.

Vanessa - It has always been so. Acton not given the same treatment as Ealing Broadway / West Ealing etc etc. (Christmas Lights). Though the bar has been raised slightly -  with a new shop (newly opened) in the High Street.
