Street Cleaning

On Thursday one of the AMEY employees was litter picking in my street, we watched as he just picked up any little bits of paper lying on the pavement.Meanwhile, our street and those around us are actually quite hazardous because of the wet leaves!I cannot understand the logic!

Layers of slippery wet leaves left sticking to the pavement round here, too. Just no effort in the clearing.

Our street was swept on Saturday, but they still left areas where the leaves are still lying on the ground. Is it too much to ask that they do the job properly?

The current contrator has only cleaned our side streets properly twice a year for the last couple of years (easier to let the leaves rot and collect what is left months later - during the summer months, they just let the weeds grow), and Amey is not going to start to improve things with its contract ending in the summer.

I agree the situation is much worse this year, residents shouldn't have to tread very carefully when the leaves are wet on the pavement.  Surely it is not too much to ask that the streets are cleared of leaves?

Report last week still nothing yes very  slow this year to clear them.

Are Acton residents satisfied with the state of our pavements which are covered in leaves and pose a hazard for pedestrians?
