When the new TfL timetable comes in next week, Acton Mainline will have a half hourly service into Paddington and out to Hayes and Harlington. To get to Heathrow you need to change at one of the stations further down the line (though not at Hanwell, where the Acton trains for some reason don't stop). To go on the new half hourly TfL service out to Reading, you need to change at Ealing Broadway, Southall or Hayes. This seems a pretty thin service and must be a disappointment to people who've moved specially to be near the station. Let's hope that, once the stations are rebuilt and the Crossrail section across London is finally finished, the whole service will be improved. One remarkable thing is that, because it's now a TfL service, Freedom passes will work all the way to Reading!
