13th November talk on two Acton women of 1720 and 1849
If you are interested in those who lived here before us, please come to St. Mary's church hall (by Morrisons) on Wednesday 13th November at 7.30.p.m to hear a talk about two historical Acton women. The Duchess of Derwentwater who lived near Horn Lane in 1720 and the Countess of Landsfeld who was briefly mistress of Berrymede Priory in 1849 ( site of Acton Old Town Hall). The talk is about these two women before,during and after they came to Acton. I have prepared 84 slides so there are lots of pictures. It sounds a lot but I will wizz through them. Please come if you are interested.
