Robert Lynch Optician

Has anybody else noticed they'd gone?  I used them once but found their hours restrictive, but I know they were much loved among members of this board and had been going for a while.  It all seemed rather sudden.

He's retired - but so has my hairdresser, my GP now only works two days a week and my dentist works only one....must be getting old! Husband and I used Robert Lynch for 40 years - ever since we arrived in Acton. I got a phone call saying they were closing and asking me to drop in and collect my current prescription so that I could take it to another optician.Didn't want to use a 'chain' so have moved to Eyes on the Common (close to Ealing Common bus stop and station)- seems OK so far.

Disruptive building work expected to start along that block soon.Should not affect the store fronts but the backs will be.

That's appalling! I've been going to them for more years than I can remember. Don't opticians have to tell their regular patients if they are going to disappear? What now - can anyone recommend someone else?

I read on here (or maybe in the Acton Friends FB page) that they retired. It's sad, but I am sure well deserved.
