HOW MUCH AIRCRAFT NOISE COULD YOU LIVE WITH?

The current Heathrow expansion consultation closes on 9th September.If you haven't responded yet, I urge you to do so.Acton falls under several of the potential flight path areas under the plans both for a third runway, and plans to increase the number of early morning flights as soon as 2022.  Under a third runway, we could have up to 47 flights per hour at over 60dB during the day. Anything over 50dB is harmful to health and wellbeing, particularly for children and the elderly.  We would only get one half day in every four days in respite, so it would be fairly constant.And of course it would contribute massively to carbon emissions, air and ground pollution.  (And cost the taxpayer up to 18bn by the most recent estimates.)The consultation documents are long and complicated, but the group NO 3rd Runway Coalition have a great guide to filling it in, with a list bullet points for all the sections.  You don't have to fill it in online, you can post or email your response.www.no3rdrunwaycoalition.co.ukhttps://aec.heathrowconsultation.com/Documents are also available to view at the Ealing Council Offices.

If you haven’t already responded to Heathrow’s Consultation on a Third Runway, please send a short email message by Friday 13 September 2019 to feedback@heathrowconsultation.com from your home postal address, saying for example a simple  “I am opposed to the expansion of Heathrow Airport “And adding one or more of the following that you believe in:-It would bring many more planes over where I liveIt would bring many more planes over where I workThere would be aircraft noise overhead all the time, every dayI would be woken every morning by aircraft noise from 6amIt would cause increased pollution over the London areaThe air quality where I and my family live would be reduced from its present already poor levelI have asthma and the increased pollution caused by more aircraft would make it worseIt would cause the destruction of Harmondsworth and Longford villagesOver 750 homes would have to be demolished, and many more homes would become uninhabitable because of the noise and pollutionIt will alter the character of the whole of West London when the airport takes over all the land it says it needs for the third runway and associated airport useI will not be able to get on to the already overcrowded Piccadilly Line trains for my commute to and from workAny other comments you may wish to raise yourself and, of course, use your own wording and circumstances.Please note that The Department for Transport will take account of the actual number of responses, so it is important that we should all send our own response.  If you have neighbours or friends who share the same concerns, do please pass this message on to them ASAP..And then Thank yourself for getting off your backside and actually doing something!    :-)

Get to it peeps, this is VITAL, too late to whinge when you sat on your arse & did nothing and they're winging in constantly overhead at 2,000 feet.
