Help re cyclist accident

On 3rd June between 1030 and 1130, a fellow allotment plotholder was cycling along Acton High Street when he was hit by a car and thrown off his bike, breaking his arm.  The car apparently pulled out at the mini roundabout junction with Grove Road, near the Windmill pub.  Two ladies kindly came to his help but he wonders whether anybody took the registration number of the dark car involved, which did not stop.  He appreciates it's some time since the accident but hadn't known about this website.

The usual problem is the time required to contact all the camera owners, get a copy of any recordings still available, scan through to the correct section, then try to extract the number plate information, which may be false anyway. You have almost as much chance of doing that as the police.

There must be dozens of CCTV cameras in the vicinity including NEST type security devices. I don't understand how, if the police can see the car on one camera and therefore know the precise time it was in the vicinity they can't cross reference with other cameras.

Sadly the police said CCTV did not show number plate...

Walking past yesterday, there's a CCTV camera pointing at that junction - maybe it recorded something?
