Sadly I think the golden age of great Indian takeaways is over. I haven't had a good takeaway (or delivery) for years, though I live in hope and occasionally revisit places that used to be good but lost the plot. I picked up a takeaway from Chapati Club recently and it was disappointing; the staff were pleasant and it still looks like a fun place to eat but I wouldn't get a takeaway again.As a vegetarian I can't comment on the meat dishes but have heard good things from carnivores about Monkey Temple in Askew Road (their veggie dishes are OK, just not outstanding). Unfortunately there are no really great vegetarian curries in this area - unless anyone knows different.
