Sometimes LBE actually functions as it's supposed to.

The Operatives have developed the arbitrary habit last week and today of not returning my wheely bins to my curtilage, just leaving them on the footpath. Well, I wasn't going to have that was I?So, cue Complaint via LBE website today, followed by a phone call from LBE four hours later to inform me that "A message has been sent to the Supervisor about your Complaint and he will speak with the Operative/s"                                                                                              Of course nothing may well still be done but we shall see, meanwhile, credit where it is due.(I am still in a state of shock)    :-)

In my street most of the wheelie bins are just left on the pavement after collection, and unfortunately a number of residents do likewise,We once had a street to be proud of but sadly not any more, I have reported these matters to Ealing Council but the problem is ongoing.Some residents are either not aware or not bothered by the fact that bins are only emptied on alternate weeks, we often have overflowing wheelie bins littering the pavement!I thought these wheelie bins were supposed to be an improvement on the previous system> It is bad enough to see small front gardens full of them but worse when we have to walk around them when they are permanently left cluttering the pavement.Not many people seem to take pride in their surroundings nowadays.
