Harry's Cafe at Acton Mainline

Has it gone forever?  Closed today with a notice from Network Rail taped to the door.

Harry's is back open! All a bit mysterious. I asked what happened and they said they were closed for cleaning! I asked what the letter was about but the girl I spoke to just laughed. Anyway she semeds sure they weren't closing. Good news but something's going on. Wouldn't surprise me if network rail want it back before crossrail opens.

It's a huge shame.  Great food and banter.  I've been a regular there for a decade and don't know where I'll go for my full English now.

Not worth starting a business like that in rented property, they work hard building up the business to have it taken away.

Sounds like it. Network Rail probably realise the value of the land now Crossrail is coming and wouldn't renew the lease (I'm guessing, I have no insider knowledge).I really feel for the lovely staff who have lost their jobs just before Christmas.You could eat a very healthy balanced meal there for a reasonable cost (as well as a great fry up). I will certainly miss it.
