BT phone outage

Our BT landline (and, subsequently, our non-BT broadband) has been out since last Tuesday and while BT have said it's an external fault, they claim to have been unable to fix it yet due to the high volume of work and other such faults in the area.  So...is anyone else's land line not working?

It was Poet's Corner area.  They finally fixed it on Monday afternoon, almost a week after it stopped working.  Typically, BT had claimed that nobody would need access, and the next thing i know OpenReach are calling me at work on Monday to ask if anyone can let them in, as they were standing outside the house.  Apparently a builder cut through a cable (or so they say).

Which area(s)?No problem with my line, north side of the A40 west of Gypsy Corner, despite the state of the BT ducts (and electricity cables) exposed by Cadent during gas work. Cadent are required to change all their gas pipes to plastic, usually by inserting a plastic liner, and used a huge vacuum excavator to avoid damage to other services. I think BT will have to totally replace the old duct before there is any chance of FTTP, and I suspect the same will apply in most areas. Houses in this area were built in the 1930's, so there are plenty of older installations around.

We are experiencing the same problems since last Sunday. Still no explanation.

All seems OK around North Acton Playing Fields / Noel Road.
