Catalytic converters stolen for precious metals
Hi EverybodyI would like to make you aware that in recent weeks there is a gang that is targeting Toyota Prius' and Honda CR-V' in the streets off Horn Lane. They remove the catalytic converter located in the exhaust system under the vehicle because of the high value of the precious metals they contain. I suggest you keep a sharp eye on your car especially at night. Alternatively go to a local garage to weld some metal on the exhaust to reduce the risk of theft of your car's catalytic converter. I was targeted a week ago and It cost me more that £2000 to repair! I'm in contact with Adrian, a mechanic from G N P AUTOCARE in Acton. He is developing a way to protect catalytic converters from theft.
