Acton Clearly Needs A Hero....

There are clearly a lot of disgruntled people who live in Acton in 2018... As a resident of 4 years who is proud to call the area home it is all pretty depressing that the situation has got to this point. The bottom line is that the residents and Ealing Council are clearly never going to agree on what is 100% the best course of action to clean up our filthy streets, stop this parking fiasco and to make the area somewhere we are all proud to call home and not be embarrassed by the mess and rubbish that is getting worse by the month.The person we desperately need to consult is our elected Member of Parliament, who is surely able to come and help us make a difference. Whether you backed Rupe Huq or not, she has gained a national profile since her election in 2015 and surely she should be leading our campaign to make the improvements that we are all desperate to see happen. All we are striving to achieve is to live in a relatively clean environment that a major global City in the 21st Century can surely offer. If other parts of London can offer cleaner streets and  significantly lower taxes then why can't we as well. I am going to write to Rupa Huq to ask for her thoughts and ideas on how we can tackle these very important local issues. I will share the response.

I disagree with that Terminology that Acton is full of just bad tenants. If you just take a good look around Acton is going in the right direction the demographics are changing. The problem we have is our Acton MP and Councillors are failing the people they are suppose to represent. LBE just want to build flats on any scrap of land. The infurstructure is not there and if the investment starts declining property crash, things will start to go the other way "down hill with the wind behind us" The Oak shops when finished will remain empty as will many of the flats above, the high street is a joke and decent people will just look elsewhere.. We need people in the Council to listen to what affects us all our environment!

Not counting commercial premises, much of the street mess is caused by tenanted properties, the scourge of Acton.Obviously there are "good" tenants, but unfortunately they are far outnumbered by the transients, who don't give a toss.I am not aware of many owner occupied dwellings whose front garden and footpath outside looks like a war zone.Sadly, owner occupation is on the decline, LBE condones more flats, so expect matters to worsen.
