exciting Rocket Pub news!

So i had a wonderful meal at Tailor Made on Churchfield Road over the weekend and got chatting to the manager Michael. He told me that they are taking over the lease of the Rocket Pub from beginning of July and will be transfering the food from Tailor Made over there and giving the place a much need change of layout and decor.This is amazing news, as the current Polish landlord had pretty much ran the place into the ground, the atmosphere is terrible and the food and layout is really poor, so would be great to get another pub rescued in Acton.He also told us that the current Tailor Made will become a burger joint (im guessing a Byron / Honest burger type place) so we end up with 2 great places to eat and a pub saved!

They do breakfast, but not sure what time they start. Also agree, Taylor Made food is great.

Anyone know if new Rocket team does breakfast? Husband has woken on his birthday pining for the Tailor Made brekkie...But it has to be at c 0830...

We went for breakfast and the dog was welcome. She was offered a bowl of water. Food was delicious and the mezzanine has gone. looking forwards to many more!

That's great, was truly horrible.  If he makes the entrance area less bright (currently almost fluorescent) and focus on well kept draft beer and good wine, we will definately venture back.

Excellent news and a great addition to the station house and it new menu...if it's honest or Byron bugler great but not another cheap burger place or kebab shop or restaurant fronting a drug money laundering scheme ( of which I am told there are a few in the vicinity)

Spoke to Michael this morning and he confirms that the first thing he did was remove that hideous Mezanine from the restaurant, look forward to seeing the room again as it is meant to look.

Great news!  Love Tailor Made, so great that it's moving into larger premises.  Such a shame about The Rocket, but it seems to have really lost its way over the past few years.  The place needs a major overhaul, and atmosphere, which I'm sure TM will deliver!

We have been having breakfast en famille every Saturday morning at the Rocket for years and we can take the dog. Just hope the dog will still be welcome otherwise we will find ourselves looking for a new venue.

Tailor Made do a very good breakfast, i look forward to their Rocket venture. I also look forward to the 50th 1 star food hygiene rated Alshababab burger joint that’ll inevitably replace its current location. Maybe they’ll go for that second star and corner the Acton burger market.

Well the food at Tailor made is excellent and the atmosphere always good. I look forward to continuing to eat there, not matter where it is on Churchfield Road. Always room for a top notch burger bar too.

Good news indeed , although my recent meal at The Rocket was pretty decent but I agree the atmosphere has gone and not the gastro pub it used to be. Thanks Lee
