No TV signal

Does anyone know what the problem is with the TV signal, been without for two days now I'm a bit further out than Acton are you having the same problems, I'm using Freeview TV (when it's working). Have tried to find info online but no sensible information as yet.

Certainly try retuning, but I have also lost BBC4 HD and BBC News HD and a couple of others, and can't restore them despite several retunes.I did some research on line and it seems that Crystal Palace transmitter has changed some frequencies and that an old 'Group A' aerial will no longer receive some channels. The information I found got too technical for me, so I think I shall just have to do without the HD versions and hope things resolve themselves. Either that or fork out for a new aerial...If you want to know more, try Googling 'BBC4 HD disappeared' and you'll find several links. Some are quite old (this has obviously happened before, and to transmitters in other parts of the country) so look for 2018 and Crystal Palace.

You need to retune your channels. I also had a message on my TV. There should be something in the settings called autotune or retune or something. Good luck.

Our channels started disappearing . I returned the TV and taa-Dah! Normal service

Janice, there was a message at the bottom of the tv screen a few weeks ago reminding people to re-tune their freeview.  Quite a few channels have moved around as mentioned, but you need to re-tune and this should rectify the issue.  If not, give Freeview a call on:  0800 131 3800.

Yes it was o.k. Before and neighbours are having the same problem, all the channels are missing. Don't know if or when I should re tune the set, wait for some sign of channels returning I suppose.

Any stations in particular - eg BBC 4 HD?If yes then it could be related to the changes made end of March which moved a few stations around and put some onto channels 55 & 56 which are more difficult to receive.However, if was fine earlier in this week then maybe James' idea is right (weather).

No information about any work at the Crystal Palace TV transmitter. It could be weather related - warmer weather can cause signals from further afield/overseas to travel further and cause interference to services.
