Not having eaten there for some time, I attempted lunch today Very disappointing: poor sausages & watery mash for £12 The chef when summoned seemed somewhat amateurish to say the least.Any other reports?

When pub meals increase from the traditional double or treble what you can make them for at home to 5 or 6 fold they come off my menu.

Has it changed hands? Because that was very much the impression we got at the last Book Club meeting.

We popped in last Saturday for a nightcap following a birthday supper for our daughter at Anokha and were amazed to find that the Rocket was really busy with a good mix of ages. The only criticism was that the music was a little loud.

Can't comment on the food but anyone else think it's a bit of a soulless pub? Could be amazing with a nice make over, I always found the black ceiling makes it too moody and the table layout is awkward and doesn't give anywhere to really stand. Always end up going to the station house, which is a shame as this could be an amazing pub with the right TLC.

I've eaten there recently, both the tapas dishes and the burger, and thought they were all very good. Haven't tried the sausage and mash though.
