Another Big House Sale Woodville Gardens
Ealing's two most expensive homes now on same road
The second highest price ever for an Ealing residential property has been achieved with the sale of a house on Woodville Gardens for £2,600,000. The house is just four doors down from the area's most expensive property which went for £3,000,000 last July.
In the W5 post code area since the beginning of March the average transaction price was £460,811. 61 properties were sold during the period with two going for over one million pounds. The property other than the one on Woodville Gardens was on Corringway and it sold for £1,300,000.
In West Ealing (W13) the average price was £405,972 with 37 properties changing hands. The most expensive sold in the area during the month was on Gordon Road going for £1,325,000 the only million pound plus transaction.
The March data from Land Registry's flagship House Price Index shows an annual price decrease of 0.6% which takes the average property value in England and Wales to £160,372. London remains the best performing area in the country with prices rising by 0.7% to £343,522 over the same period although it is down on the previous month.
The most up-to-date figures available show that, during January 2012, the number of completed house sales in England and Wales increased by 13% to 42,511 compared to 37,584 in January 2011.
