The members of Ealing Art Group are to hold their summer exhibition at Gunnersbury Park Museum again this year.

It will be the fourth year that the group has put a display of its art and craft on display at this venue. You will be able to view their work from Tuesday 16 May to Monday 29 May. The museum is open daily from 10am to 4.30pm except on Monday 22 May.

It will be the 109th year of exhibiting since the Group was formed in 1910. It has held an exhibition every year since its inception, apart from the war years 1939–1940 and the year 2020 due to Covid pandemic.

It says, “We shall be displaying the eclectic mix of creative talent demonstrated by our members from traditional to abstract wall art in various mediums (oil, water colour, acrylic and mixed media) to craft and 3D artwork, including original ceramics and metalwork.

“One special feature of our exhibitions recently has been a display of ‘Affordable Art’ where all items are priced uniformly for smaller wall-hung and craft items. This has proved extremely popular and provides an ideal opportunity to purchase original art at a very reasonable price.”

Ealing Art Group holds regular exhibitions, life drawing classes and art lectures and one of the oldest amateur groups in England.

It describes itself as having a lively and active membership and its aim has always been to encourage art in all its forms and those who practise it or simply enjoy it. Membership has always covered all levels of ability, from hobby painters to professionals and has included some distinguished names.

This site remains committed to providing local community news and public interest journalism.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
