Packed events line up at Pitzhanger Manor for Museums and Galleries Month
A brand new photographic exhibition, a series of talks on Sir John Soane and tour of his country home, a genealogy event and special screening of Night at the Museum are among the events for Museums and Galleries Month 2007 at PM Gallery and Pitzhanger Manor, Ealing.
Who Are We? - A Contemporary Portrait of a London Borough
A new exhibition, created by and focusing on the people of Ealing, and drawing on brand new photography and historic black-and-white archive images to reflect one of London’s most culturally diverse boroughs. Images of contemporary Southall, large-scale pictures of the Somali community, evocative images of 1950s Ealing and Easter celebrations at Ealing’s Polish Church produce a powerful portrait of normal, everyday life in a much-changed, multifaceted West London borough once known as 'Queen of the Suburbs' and famous for the Ealing Comedy films.
Dates: Friday 11 May–Sunday 10 June 2007. Free of charge to all visitors.
PM Gallery Opening Times: Tuesday-Friday & Sunday 1-5pm; Saturday 11am-5pm.

Night at the Museum
The Eating Room at Pitzhanger Manor provides the atmospheric setting for a special screening of hit action-adventure-comedy film Night at the Museum. Despite being perpetually down on his luck, Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) thinks he's destined for something big. But even he could never have imagined how big, when he accepts what appears to be a menial job as a graveyard-shift security guard at a museum of natural history. During Larry's watch, extraordinary things begin to occur. Amidst the chaos, the only person Larry can turn to for advice is a wax figure of President Teddy Roosevelt (Robin Williams), who helps to harness the bedlam to try to save the museum.
Date: Saturday 19 May; Time: 7pm; Tickets: Adults £3, Children £2.
