Campaigners told it won't be Elthorne Park
Ealing Council is moving forward with plans for a skatepark but campaigners have been told it will now be located more centrally.
It was originally earmarked for Elthorne Park and the new facility attracted both support and opposition.
A consultation conducted under the former administration indicated many were in favour but critics including the Head and Governors of Elthorne Park School said the park could be disruptive and act as a possible magnet for anti-social behaviour.
The new Labour administration have been reviewing the plans and local campaigners say they have been told the park will now be somewhere more central.
A council spokesperson said they could not reveal the new location yet but an announcement would be made soon.
Where could the skatepark go?
