Elderly man taken to St Mary's hospital
The air ambulance was called out to Greenford Broadway yesterday lunchtime (4/01/2016) after a man was knocked over by a lorry.
Witness, Katie Langley said: '' I was sitting with my school friends at the local cafe and heard the cries of the man. My friend called the ambulance - many people crowded round to help.''
A London Ambulance Spokesperson said: ''We were called at 12:58pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving a lorry and a pedestrian on the Broadway.
“We sent a number of resources to the scene including an incident response officer, an ambulance crew, a responder by car and London's Air Ambulance to the scene.
“We treated a man believed to be in his seventies.
“He was taken as a priority to St Mary's Hospital escorted by the doctor from London's Air Ambulance.”
