Tom Kerry receiving his award
December 17, 2024
A man from Hanwell who has devoted himself to developing running activities for all has received an award for his efforts.
Tom Kerry, who chairs We Run Ealing, has given over 25 years’ service to the running industry and his achievements were recognised at the inaugural Running Awards.
These were presented at the recent Running Conference which is a joint initiative promoted by the Running Industry Alliance and England Athletics.
Tom was hailed for his contribution to mass participation running events, his strategic, promotional and ambassadorial roles, his volunteering and his positive impact on Ealing’s running community.
He says he has a passion and desire to make Ealing a better place to live by creating and delivering a range of running activities for all residents to enjoy.
We Run Ealing has a packed programme of events planned for the new year and all are welcome to participate. It is the charitable arm of the award-winning Ealing Half Marathon and delivers community-focused running initiatives, many of which are free and open to people of all abilities.
Previously known as EHM Legacy it has been operating for a decade.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets. We’ve always done that and won’t be changing, in fact we’d like to do more. However, the readership that these stories generates is often below that needed to cover the cost of producing them.
