Crossrail plans under scrutiny
Ealing Council is giving residents the chance to have their say on proposals to upgrade Ealing Broadway Station as part of the Crossrail plans.
On Tuesday, 26 January, a specialist scrutiny panel will be hearing about the plans to redevelop the station from Crossrail, Network Rail and Transport for London representatives, at a meeting in Ealing Town Hall at 7pm.
The panel has met previously to discuss plans for Southall, Hanwell, West Ealing and Acton Mainline.
Councillor John Cowing, Crossrail Specialist Scrutiny Panel Chairman, said: “The meetings have been very well attended and I am pleased that residents are taking such an interest. These meetings are an opportunity for people to be more involved and have their views heard.”
The results of the discussion will help to inform the panel’s recommendations on the Crossrail plans when it reports to the Overview and Scrutiny Committee in April 2010.
Residents are invited to attend the meeting and can participate in the discussion at the chairman’s discretion. For more information, or to attend and speak at the meeting call the scrutiny team on 020 8825 6568 or email scrutiny@ealing.gov.uk
