Stanhope Primary is celebrating receiving nominations for not one but four national awards in a single week

The Greenford school’s Early Years Team has been shortlisted in the Pearson Awards, while it has been nominated for two TES Awards, Inclusive School of the Year and Community Initiative of the Year. Finally, it is up for the Community Organisation Award for Race, Religion & Faith in the National Diversity Awards.

Headteacher Hannah Widdison, said, “At Stanhope Primary School, we believe every child deserves to thrive in a nurturing, ambitious and inclusive environment. To be recognised nationally through these award nominations is a truly special moment for our school community. It reflects the extraordinary dedication of our staff, the support of our families, and the remarkable spirit of our pupils. We are especially proud that our commitment to equality, social responsibility and high aspirations for all has been highlighted. These awards are a celebration of what we stand for at Stanhope: creating a school where children are inspired to learn, empowered to make a difference, and equipped to build a brighter future.”

The school has adopted a new motto, ‘Empowering Every Heart, Inspiring Every Mind’ which it believes captures the spirit of everything it strives for. Chosen by the whole school community - children, staff, families and governors - it reflects a shared belief that education is about far more than academic success.

John Williams, Chair of Governors said, “We’re especially delighted to be recognised for our approach to inclusion and supporting our community. We are committed to being a school where every child and every family feels equally supported, equally respected and equally loved. “
