A man from Hanwell is currently under a gruelling training regime as he prepares to take on, not one, but two endurance events to raise funds for the St. Ann’s Foundation.

Nacho Carbonell Sanchis spending two hours a day, six-days-a-week running, swimming, cycling, strength, or doing stretching exercises. His training plan, intensifies monthly, sometimes doubling or tripling training hours.

This year, Nacho aims to compete in two Ironman-distance races: the Tribourne Festival of Endurance in Eastbourne in July and ICAN Gandia-Valencia in Spain, for which he has already registered. His regimen includes a balanced diet of pasta, rice, meat, fish, and vegetables, along with energy gels for training.

Driven by a love for sports, Nacho is also racing in memory of his sisters and friends who have passed away and to support those unable to engage in sports due to health issues. He says he finds strength in the support of his family, friends, and students, believing they’d be proud of her ambitions..

Additionally, Nacho is raising funds for The St. Ann's Foundation. The foundation promotes awareness for individuals with special educational needs and utilises funds to enhance facilities, resources, and extracurricular opportunities for students.
