One of the art works to be shown at the exhibition
November 6, 2026
A free three-day exhibition celebrating Brentford's growing creative community will take place at the Waterman's building later this month.
XYZ Communities Open Studios Brentford will run from 13 to 15 November at the Watermans Park building (formerly Max Factor) on Brentford High Street, giving visitors the chance to explore artists' studios and view work by a diverse group of local creatives.
The exhibition forms part of the work being undertaken by XYZ Brentford, an initiative that is collaborating with landlords and Hounslow Council to create project-based spaces for the arts. The scheme aims to provide subsidised workspace for graduate artists and practitioners across a range of disciplines, including photography, dance, theatre and filmmaking.
Organisers say the project is designed to support emerging creative talent while bringing vacant or underused spaces into community use. The exhibition will offer visitors an opportunity to meet artists, see work in progress and discover the range of creative activity taking place in Brentford.
The group show will feature work by James Stevenson, Coral Churchill, Lukas Leisinger, Wendy Mackenzie, Ryszard Rybicki, Eyedectic, Paulo Dac, Michael Henley, Dave Barnard, Gurveer Padhal, Gosia Łapsa-Malawska, Melissa Magg and Adam Zoltowski.
A private view will be held on 13 November from 5pm to 8pm, with open studios running daily from 12 noon to 5pm throughout the exhibition.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets. We’ve always done that and won’t be changing, in fact we’d like to do more. However, the readership that these stories generates is often below that needed to cover the cost of producing them.
