In the cinema
From Friday 4th of April we will be screening: Flow, the Oscar-winning animal adventure animation of a wondrous journey; Ne Zha 2, a record-breaking animation fantasy adventure of demons, dragons, and dazzling visuals; Mr. Burton, a Richard Burton biopic based on a true story; heart-warming and hilariously relatable comedy Four Mothers; and French language, rural melodrama with a sinister twist, Misericordia.
From Friday 11th of April: charming animation Away + The Lab from the creative team behind Flow; the 30th-anniversary of a cult comedy, Muriel's Wedding; an intimate documentary about John Lennon and Yoko Ono, including never-before-seen material, One to One: John & Yoko; a coming-of-age hit of Cannes film festival, Holy Cow; animation wonders Flow and Ne Zha 2 continue for extra school-break fun.
Upcoming films from Friday 18th April, are A Minecraft Movie, The Most Precious of Cargoes, and The Penguin Lessons, dates and times to be confirmed.

The Acton BID Easter Bunny Trail is back for the Easter holiday and ActOne is delighted to be participating again this year.
On Sunday, 6th April at 1.00pm we are screening the UK premiere of La Traviata, brought to the screen by OperaGlass Works and shot on location in the UK.the screening will be followed by a live Q&A with the producers and directors, Selina Cadell and Eliza Thompson.
Also on the 6th at 4.30pm we have a live Q&A, following the screening of War Paint - Women at War,with the director Margy Kinmonth.
On Wednesday, 9th April at 7.00pm, we invite you to attend the monthly short film night, Sound & Vision. Tickets are only £7 for short films of all genres shown on a big screen, followed by meet and greet and networking drinks at the Lounge.
Sunday 13th April at 12:45 pm there is another chance to watch the National Theatre Live adaptation of Stanley Kubrick's comedy masterpiece, Dr Strangelove, with seven-time BAFTA Award-winner Steve Coogan.
We present a special previews in advance of UK release, of The Penguin Lessons a heart-warming adaptation of Tom Mitchell's bestselling memoir, playing on Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th April.
On Monday 28th April at 6:15 pm we are honoured to show Comrade Tambo's London Recruits, a thrilling documentary about young Britons recruited by the exiled ANC leader, Oliver Tambo, to undertake missions during South African apartheid. More details about the live Q&A with one of the recruits and a representative of a creative team, will be announced soon.

Our monthly Board Games Night is on Wednesday 2nd April from 6.00pm. Entry is free and all are welcome.
Ryan Denham's Untitled Comedy returns on Friday 11th April at 7.00pm. An evening of stand-up comedians doing what they love the most, making others laugh. Free entry.
Please join us for a new lounge event: our first Quiz Night will be on Wednesday 16th April at 7.30. Entry is £3.00 and we welcome teams of up to 6.
On Saturday19th April at 7.30pm we welcome back the Trent Pieterse Quartet for a live Jazz Night: An electric guitar, double bass, trumpet, and drums, great music and a lively atmosphere.
Open Mic Night will be on Thursday 24th April from 7.30pm, performances start at 8.00pm on a first-come, first-served basis.
