Acton Central Ward

Two of the three incumbent Councillors are standing again for Labour in this ward. In recent elections the main challenge has come from the Conservatives who won all three seats in the 2006 elections. This time the Liberal Democrats and Greens will be hoping to mount a stronger challenge as 68% of the electorate voted to remain in the EU in the 2016 referendum.

South Acton Ward

This ward has the most crowded ballot paper in the Acton area with two Polish Pride and two Independent candidates standing. A traditional Labour stronghold, the Conservatives will be hoping that demographic changes resulting from the huge expansion of the number of privately owned flats in the ward will increase their vote. However, like all Acton wards, South Acton was firmly pro-Remain during the referendum and the Liberal Democrats and the Greens may be hoping to challenge to be the second placed party.

East Acton Ward

This is Labour's safest seat in the Acton area and they will be hoping for an even bigger majority with the latest polls suggesting an increased Labour vote in London. Two of the three sitting councillors are standing again. The Conservatives did take two of the three seats on offer in this ward in 2006 but as 67% of voters in the ward voted Remain they may struggle to finish ahead of the Liberal Democrats.
