The Hanger Hill Garden Estate Residents Association is launching its first ever Christmas Fair & Arts Show on Saturday 13 December, bringing together more than a dozen local artists and makers for an afternoon of creativity, music, and festive fun. The event runs from 2pm to 5pm at Holy Family School, Vale Lane W3 0DY, with all proceeds supporting the restoration of the Estate’s neglected Rose Garden into a biodiverse community space.

Visitors can expect a vibrant mix of eco-conscious art and seasonal celebration. Highlights include works by Francesca Busca, an ‘eco artivist’ who transforms waste into beauty, and Rescued Clay, a Park Royal-based studio repurposing construction site materials into ceramics that honour land and memory. Prof. Tomoko Sempo Yanagi of Ikenobo Ikebana UK & Ireland will demonstrate the ancient Japanese art of flower arranging, offering a meditative counterpoint to the festive bustle.

Music will fill the hall thanks to Estate resident Elen Haf Rideal, a violinist with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, who has curated a programme of seasonal and classical pieces with pianist Hitomi Nakajima.

Traditional fair favourites will be on hand too: refreshments, a bring-and-buy cake stall, face painting, lucky dip, and children’s art activities. A raffle features prizes from generous local businesses including Atariya Foods, YoYo Kitchen, 11 Coffee & Co, Villa Toscana, Master Style, Newbie, and Artisan Coffee of Ealing.
