Iris Axon Concert Series Continues at Acton Hill Church

The next concert in the Iris Axon series features pianist Ida Pelliccioli.

She has prepared a programme of pieces inspired by folk song by Sibelius, Bartok and the Turkish composer, Ahmet Adnan Saygun – some of which will be new to many of the audience.

Ida Pelliccioli was born in Bergamo, Italy and studied at the Nice Conservatoire de Région and at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris – Alfred Cortot in the class of Serguei Markarov, Unesco Artist for Peace. She has performed throughout Europe and Canada.

Ahmet Adnan Saygun – Inci’s Book, Op. 10/a - From Anadolu’dan, Op. 25
Béla Bartók – Six Dances in Bulgarian Rhythm - (Mikrokosmos Vol.6/148-153)

The concert takes place at Acton Hill Church, High Street and Woodlands Avenue, W3 9BU at 4pm on Sunday 6 March.

Programmes at the door £5.00 concessions, £6.00 adults, £2.00 children.
