David Bays and Maureen Colledge invite you to join them on a joint Acton History Group/Churchfield Community Association Guided Walk taking place this Sunday, starting at 3pm Sunday 17th July outside the King's Head pub, Acton.
The Walk will be looking at some well-known landmarks and others less familiar. They include: Kings Head and surrounding area; Acton Pump and Milestone; Sheepwalk Tavern; The Oaks ; St. Mary's Burial Ground; Foley's; Sherborne Laundry; Waitrose Shop; places connected to Lionel Bart and Adam Faith; Rocket pub; Station area; Goldsmiths Almshouses; Obelisk; Sean Connery's former house; and the Kings Arms.
Finishing up at the Kings Arms around 5pm,there'll hopefully be a chance for a drink after this trip down what is arguably one of Acton's most interesting historic areas.
It's free for AHG/CCA Members but suggested £2 donation for others.
