The Addison Singers Jazz Vocal Workshops


Three sessions with top tutors Twyford School

Back by popular demand, Addison Singers are running a series of 3 jazz workshops at Twyford C of E High School in Acton this summer.

The workshops will allow you to explore a range of jazz styles, learning about their history and theory, gain confidence in improvisation and refine your vocal technique.

Over the afternoon you will rotate through a series of three one-hour sessions with three different tutors, before coming together as a group to sing a short piece that you have learnt in the sessions.

You can sign up for any one or all three afternoons, no previous experience is necessary.

The sessions will be run on:
-Saturday the 25th of August, 2-6pm
-Saturday the 1st of September, 2-6pm
-Saturday the 8th of September, 2-6pm

The tutors are Jill Jarman (Jazz choir conductor and workshop facilitator) and Alice Hyde (Vocal Technique), with special guests:

-Saturday the 1st of September - Jilly Jarman (world music and improvisation)
-Saturday the 8th of September - Laura Ritchie (performance tips and tricks)
