The coaching team at Ealing Swimming Club (Acton House) are making a difference to over 300 children
Last month, we asked readers of ActonW3.com to nominate a person or persons in the community who are 'Making A Difference'. We received several nominations, but the resounding winners were the coaching team of the Ealing Swimming Club, Acton House. Head coach Arianna and her team of coaches are passionate about encouraging local children to do their best.
Arianna says 'I have always been so passionate with the work I do because it is very challenging and it gives me great pleasure to see the constant improvements our swimming members make.
The Ealing Swimming Club (ESC) is a very well established club with over 1700 members across the borough, all swimming at 7 different "houses". The Acton House have 303 members, ranging in age from 4 to 15+ . Arianna and the team arrange swimming galas, house championships and fun splash days. Children can train up to 4 times per week.
Says Arianna "
By coming to the club, the kids are kept busy, working toward a high standard of swimming with the opportunity to take this super healthy sport further if interested. They are encouraged to do their best and are made to feel special for what they have achieve on each occasion. We, coaches, want the children to come to our lessons with great enthusiasm knowing that they are getting better and better at this life saving sport.'
Well done to all of the coaches at the ESC Acton - Nadia, Sammy, Paula, Antonio, Osama and Arianna. You really are making a difference!
