Ten Tonnes of Rubbish Catches Fire in Park Royal


Six fire engines called out to deal with the blaze

A depot containing over 50 tonnes of rubbish was the scene of a fire in Park Royal this Friday morning (24 May).

London Fire Brigade were called to the facility in Midland Terrace at around 9.05am. They found that about a fifth of the waste deposited there had caught fire. The blaze was put out just over three hours later.

Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters attended including crews from Park Royal, Acton, Willesden, North Kensington and Ealing fire stations.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
