Fadi Haddad with the new production line at the Dina Foods factory
November 18, 2025
Park Royal based food manufacturer Dina Foods has made a £1million investment in its local production facilities.
The three-year programme of manufacturing upgrades is to meet rising demand for its authentic Mediterranean breads and savouries.
The latest milestone in the company’s modernisation drive is the complete overhaul of its pitta bread production line, which became fully operational in August. The new line—one of five at the company’s Park Royal bakery—has been designed to increase output, reduce waste, and improve product consistency while lowering energy use and labour costs.
“We want to help our customers stand out by delivering high-quality, innovative, and healthy products at competitive prices,” said Managing Director Suheil Haddad. “We are always looking at new ideas and potential enhancements in efficiency across our whole business.”
The pitta line upgrade follows a similar revamp of the company’s Khobez flatbread line in 2024. Known by its trademarked name Paninette®, the Khobez line now includes a fully automated stacker and has nearly doubled its capacity—from 5,000 to 9,000 pieces per hour. The improvements have also reduced downtime and waste, while enhancing the quality and consistency of the bread.
Dina Foods says these investments are part of a broader strategy to improve sustainability and operational resilience. The company has also installed an onsite nitrogen generator and new pipework to supply its packing machines, replacing the previous system of CO₂ cylinder banks. This change has halved gas flushing costs and extended product shelf life.
To further streamline operations, Dina Foods has fitted its flour silos with depth meter sensors that automatically monitor flour levels and consumption rates. The system provides real-time data to both the company and its flour supplier, enabling just-in-time deliveries and reducing transport emissions. It also helps prevent supply interruptions—critical in a high-volume bakery environment.
Founded in 1992 by the Haddad brothers, Dina Foods has grown into one of the UK’s leading producers of handmade Mediterranean foods. Its product range includes artisan flatbreads, savoury pastries, and traditional confectionery, all made at its Park Royal site. The company supplies major retailers, foodservice clients, and export markets, with a reputation for combining traditional recipes with modern production standards.
