He was immediately sentenced to life imprisonment, and ordered to serve a minimum of 24-years in jail.
The court heard how Meanza, who suffered schizophrenia, had been residing at a specialist centre for vulnerable adults in Perryn Road.
On Monday, 27 July, the centre's on-duty care worker, Jenny Foote, had received a complaint about noise coming from the bedroom of Meanza.

It was the second killing to have taken place in the area in 2015. Terry Longman was killed in Cumberland Park in March and Giuseppe Lomedico, aged 54, was later sentenced to life imprisonment for his murder.
