House Fire Closes Southfield Road


Buses on diversion as fire engines tackle blaze

A fire broke out in the first floor of a house on Southfield Road around 6.00pm on Tuesday 28th September.

Major disruption and crowds of people were reported around the bridge over Acton Lane and into Southfield Road.

Emergency service including several fire engines, police vehicles and an ambulance attended the scene although no one is believed to have been hurt.

Southfield Road was closed for almost two hours whilst the fire brigade tackled the blaze.

E3 buses were put on diversion via Acton Lane.
